The annual Career Expo and CEA Technical Career Fair will lend a hand in the job search with about 160 potential employers looking to hire students.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum.

The event, sponsored by the Center for Advising and Career Development (CACD) and the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), is free for admission.

Christie Motley, employer relations manager for the CACD, said this expo is a great way for students to make connections with future employers as well as gain insight into future career paths.

Motley said the CACD offered several mini workshops students could attend to help prepare them for the expo hosted by companies including Boeing, Target and Maxim Healthcare Services.

Motley suggested students to research the registered companies that are of interest and think of questions to ask potential employers.

“There’s such a wide range of employers that will be attending the expo, so most students should be able to find something that interests them,” Motley said. “My hope for students at this expo is that they leave with a job or internship before leaving the WSU campus.”
