The first 850 students to buy tickets for Springfest 2012 will receive floor seating for the events’ headliner concert.

The event’s headliner for this year will be American electro pop duo 3OH!3, Student Entertainment Board (SEB) director Brian Logan said. Chingy will also be performing as a special guest opener. More openers will be announced at a later date, he said.

Logan said there has already been overwhelming support and positive feedback after confirming 3OH!3 as the headliner.

This year Springfest is focusing on making the two-day event even bigger and better, Logan said. SEB has been taking the student suggestions from past events and including them in this year’s event.

Beginning on Friday of Springfest, there will be a carnival with games and rides throughout Saturday, Logan said. Performances from local musicians will also be included in the event.

Logan said more contracts are being negotiated and should bring added excitement to the day before the headliner concert.

Springfest will run on April 20 and 21 this year. Tickets for the concert are $12 for WSU students and $32 for the public. The carnival is free for students, and $10 for a ride pass for the public. Tickets may be purchased at the CougarCard Center and all TicketsWest outlets.

More information will be posted when available on the SEB Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SEB.wsu.

“(SEB events) should be awesome this year,” Logan said.
