You know when you read the words “Buffalo Chicken Dip” you immediately decided it was perhaps the greatest idea you’ve heard all day. And you know what? That’s because it is.

All you need is this dip, a couple beers, some crackers for dipping and a winning (or losing) football team. The best thing about this recipe is it's perfect for those tailgating parties that you keep meaning to bring something to. Most of the ingredients are cheap, on hand and totally healthy. OK, maybe not healthy. More like delicious and mostly not perishable.

What you’ll need:

2 (10 oz.) cans chunk chicken drained

2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup Ranch dressing

3/4 cup hot sauce

1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into four inch pieces

1 (8 oz.) box chicken-flavored crackers

What you’ll do:

Heat the chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Canned chicken may sound gross but get over your reservations. This dip is worth it. Once the hot sauce and chicken is nice and warm, stir in the softened cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook the mixture, stirring until the ingredients are well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker (for easy transportation and sharing.) Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover and cook on low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers. Try not to have a heart attack before you fully enjoy the dip.
