Police investigated a situation involving a man found unconscious in a parking lot behind the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts Thursday evening.

A witness called at 4:47 p.m. to report a man unconscious, slumped over and leaning out of the open door of a white van.

WSU Police found the man unconscious in a state vehicle used by WSU officials, said Sgt. Robert Macy. The door was open and the man was hanging out.

The police suspect the man is an employee, judging by the car, said Macy.

The man was alive and transported to Pullman Regional Hospital. The police are currently treating the case as a medical emergency, but the circumstances are not yet known.
